Who will be teaching the movement classes?

What time will the daily classes be?
I find that each day can be quite different during a ski week – mostly dependent on weather, but also on the group’s collective plans. The rough timings will be 8am for the ‘Power Up’ session before breakfast/first lifts and early evening for the ‘Warm Down’ session, before canapés, apres and dinner. Exact timings for the next day will be discussed with the group, ensuring you can rest longer if poor weather is forecast – and remember there is always the option to miss class should you wish to rise earlier or stay out for apres on piste! We are very relaxed.
What might a day on the retreat look like?
There are no daily schedules, so you do (or don’t do) as much as you want to. Many of our guests will book snow sports or plan activities and walks, but ultimately the time is yours to be as active or restorative as you wish.
I’ll be heading up the mountain with skis or by foot with our rescue dog, Luka, everyday – and I’m always keen for company!
Can the Chalet cater for my dietary requirements?
Yes – absolutely. Fish & Pips are known for both their fine catering and hand picked wine selections. This season, all of their chefs have had training from Michelin starred restaurant, Trinity, in Clapham, and they’re eager to get their aprons on and create just the kind of food you love, whatever your diet.
Do I need pilates/yoga/fascia release experience?
No – I will ensure all levels accommodated within the sessions. I teach with a layered approach, starting with the fundamentals, then adding more challenging options for those who would like them.
Can I join you with injuries or if I am pregnant?
I’m afraid the classes will not be suitable for those who are pregnant or have disc issues/osteoporosis.
If you have an injury, or have undergone an operation within the last year please feel welcome to contact me to discuss this on 07700 770021 or at email@example.com
I’m a solo traveller, can I join you?
Yes please! We have a number of awesome solo travellers and would welcome more!
I’ve never skied/it’s been forever since I’ve skied, can I still come?
Of course! All snow sports are entirely optional. There are so many activities in the mountains for non-skiers: hiking, snowshoeing, Nordic skiing, paragliding, biking… or just enjoying some you time!
Will everyone know each other? What is the mix of the group?
So far, we have two lovely mixed groups developing, with varying ages, home locations and skiing ability. Most people won’t know each other, so it’s a lovely opportunity to get to know some new like minded people.
Are flights included?
Unfortunately not – the price is solely for the Chalet experience, including the daily movement sessions and private consultation.
How can I arrange my ski pass, hire, transfers, treatments, etc?
The cost of the retreat includes a concierge service to arrange all of these for you. Upon paying your deposit, you will be put in touch with them. Once Fish & Pips have details of what you require, everything will be arranged so you arrive to passes and ski fitting at the chalet, with the wood fire lit and a glass of champagne in hand!

About Me – Jenna Lamorna McCabe
Hello! I’m Jenna and I’m so excited to be running Mountain Movement Retreats this winter!
I’m a BASI Certified Pilates Instructor, with a passion for teaching healing and empowering movement. I started reformer pilates and yoga in my early twenties to help with running (tight legs and weak knees!) and have been progressively mastering my own body ever since.
My partner and I spend some time in the Three Valleys each winter, which has added skiers and boarders to the large range of sportspeople I work with.
I set up the first group reformer pilates and private training studio in Jersey, Channel Islands three years ago, and since have added specialism in pregnancy/post natal recovery, as well as expanding my learning into myofasica release and yin yoga.
I love how pilates empowers my clients to heal, realign and become stronger than ever.
